Gender Identity: “female or male, or both, or neither”

“Gender identity” refers to one’s understanding, interests, outlook, and feelings about whether one is female or male, or both, or neither, regardless of one’s biological sex.
Is it really wise to ask a 6 year old boy if he’s “female or male, or both, or neither?” Perhaps rather than asking children what they “feel” their gender is, we should, as adults entrusted to teach children how to live, show them how to be the men or women they were designed to be?

I have just a few thing to not briefly:
This particular article grabbed my attention because I live in the notoriously socially liberal city of Columbia Missouri. Columbia is known throughout the state of Missouri not only as home to a Big 12 university , the University of Missouri, Columbia, but also as the MOST socially liberal city in the state as well. At any rate, a front page story was run just recently in the Columbia Tribune on a trans gender women who had decided to become a male who happened to be employed at the local university. I encourage you to read the story in its entirety here: http://www.columbiatribune.com/news/2009/may/07/the-truth-comes-out-sam-bullington/
The most disturbing part about this story is how the women, or man I guess is recruiting all minorities to join the ranks of her organization so to speak. Not only gender conscience protesters (trying to stay politically correct here) but also those afflicted with mental disabilities or physical limitations. This especially disturbs me because it is apparent that these other minority groups are being exploited under the gay trans lesbian, and so on… AGENDA. With the non-gay protesters (as the current administration would say) rights and interest not being headlined nor recognized.
The facts still remain the same if you are a women you were born a women if you are a man you were born a man! If you are afflicted with mental illness you were not given the opportunity to choose that illness and I can reasonably argue that most wouldn’t choose to be among the disable population. When you choose an “alternative lifestyle” and now expect the vast majority of Americans to embrace your destructive and perverse form of living or break the law under the banner of discrimination then you are clearly the most self absorbed and bias of them all.
Finally, I would like to say this: When you create a society void of any God conscience morality then you will forever be in an endless pursuit of legislating some form of morality for the people to follow thus instituting laws such as the Canadian Bill C-250, which I also encourage you take a look at. This is the now the law in Canada and the Senate is currently seeking to pass a parallel Bill, which was introduced in the house, in OUR the United States of America. A nation which AT POINT AT TIME GAVE ALL OF ITS CITIZENS EQUAL PROTECTION UNDER THE LAW.
Just a few points to ponder, thanks your reading and remember…
There’s only one way to be..so keep on burning for The Lord,
Goldman Lowe
Goldman,
Thanks for the link. I completely understand how it can disturb you to see transgendered individuals count themselves along with people with major disabilities and the like. On the other hand, believing oneself to be a “man trapped in a woman’s body” obviously denotes a major psychological issue, and so I’m not sure that they are simply “choos[ing] an alternative lifestyle,” as much as they are grappling with major issues that need to be dealt with PSYCHOLOGICALLY rather than HORMONALLY or SURGICALLY (except possibly in the rare and sad cases of those born with ambiguous genitalia due to genetic defects).
Could you explain more of the Canadian Bill you mentioned?
A life style choice
==============
People are born with challenges no one is perfect, heart, brain, leg issue etc etc. physically challenged.
We are equip with lots of skills and method to try and improve our quality of life
you can’t change a white person into a Chinese , visa versa
you can’t change a black person into a blond, visa versa
you can’t change a cat into a rat or fish etc. etc.
Born male and changing into female don’t make you a female your still a female.
Born female and changing into male don’t make you a female your still a male.
Using one choice as a crutch to determines lifestyle, is like a
born poor person/individual(s) given the opportunity to advance and refusing to embrace the
opportunities to advance or improve . ‘economically challenged’
What is also clear is that, everyone is born with gifts. Gifts that are to be embraced , share with others,
i.e. a sexually challenged person, most predominat and noticeable ‘ males ‘
have that gift of appreciation of the finer things
Mostly associated with females sense, site, taste, smell and feel.. most if not all males are not built or born that way. We all can learn from these talents how to appreciate some of what the secular world calls the finer details in life/things. This however does not gives the nod to act in an immoral, destructive and perverse way and to forget ones real self Male or Female . Lending ones mind and body
to destructive behaviour, living the selfish life:-
norms[I will do it cause it feels good and the world/society accept it].
Question
=========
If the world/society accept stealing and killing of each other are we/you going to
do it too.
“Born male and changing into female don’t make you a female your still a female.”
should be corrected to
Born male and changing into female don’t make you a female your still a male.
