Harry Knox and a read of Jude grounds us on the polarity involved in Knox’s distorted world and totally subjective as supposed religious views. But, then again, in an age where what one “feels” is as big as the Biblically Messianic ideal of the renewal of a mind, and a renewed mind being the seat of a Spirit regenerated guidance, what do we expect Dr. Brown to encounter out in the world (consider how “emotional intelligence” will be factored into the 2013 coming new DSM’s mental health criteria). A read of Jude is sobering enough in light of this debate, and contains knowledge of real Biblical mysteries, in addition to the clarity of a New Covenant and Old Covenant moral stand against homosexuality. Dr. Brown requires our prayer support on an ongoing basis, when the legions of invisible opposition he faces employ such vessels as Knox.
As it is, God being love and in light and in heaven now, we too need discernment as to what real love constitutes in its favor and purposes. Love must be firm, fair, and frugal in its administration of the heart of God to His people. Knox has knocked the objective correlative of the Bible from his and others grasp of reality. Their voices add to the confusion of the whole matter of an authentic love, and what its presence still means among God’s people.
