I have recently been renewed in my experience of following Jesus. With it has come a deeper clarity and appreciation for the Kingdom of God. With it has come a renewed longing for the personal presence of God, and what this means in terms of His Kingdom. So let’s look briefly at this Kingdom.
In the [...]

Isaiah 9: 6 - 7
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no [...]

Jesus People

Will we wander and die during visitation or go into Jesus-centred identity during visitation? “Do you still not understand?” Mark 8: 21

I am convinced that to understand the true meaning of the Gospel disclosed by the New Testament writers, we have to get a grasp and revelation of the account of Israel’s Exodus. Even more so, I believe the Exodus will have special spiritual significance in the life of the Church in these early years of this new millennium. Perhaps the Exodus is the key moment in all of [...]

Victory In Jesus! A Call to Practical & Spirit-Filled Purity
After being personally challenged and blessed by the recent article on a call to ‘Cleanse Our Eyes!’ by VOR writer Bryan Purtle, I felt led to write a short follow up with some practical principles and suggestions for dealing ruthlessly with sin, and the enemy’s enticements.
Jesus [...]

The Call of God

Sep 15th, 2009 | By Andrew Yeoman | Category: The Kingdom of God

I want to just bring a brief word of exhortation at this time to all the readership of VOR. Whether you know the Lord or whether perhaps you are weighing up the cost of following Him. I am sensing at this time that even the best of us can be distracted from the key thing [...]

Apostolic Ministry in the Kingdom of God - Final Part

Aug 5th, 2009 | By Andrew Yeoman | Category: The Kingdom of God

This is the final part of this particular article on the theme of ‘Apostolic ministry’. I realize that we have only scratched the surface of this theme. However, hopefully we have now begun to take a new look at the term ‘apostolic’, and may help bring about a fresh move of the Spirit in the day in which we live. We have looked at Jesus, the sending of the 12, OT and NT theology of these ministries, but it would be a culpable omission if we did not take a brief look at Paul [...]

Apostolic Ministry in the Kingdom of God - Part 3

Jul 1st, 2009 | By Andrew Yeoman | Category: The Kingdom of God

3. The New Testament Dynamics of the Apostolic Ministry.
We have seen the first use of the term ‘apostle’, and we have considered the OT and NT prophetic significance of this ministry, that of missions, pioneering, foundational building for the new temple of God. But what does it look like practically? To answer this question we [...]

Apostolic Ministry in the Kingdom of God - Part 2

Jun 2nd, 2009 | By Andrew Yeoman | Category: The Kingdom of God

2. Prophetic significance from OT history & prophets; fulfilled in Jesus.

Mark 11, 12 & 13 capture a remarkable sequence of events in the life of Jesus. It is a time when Jesus is open about His Messianic status like no other point in His life. He did this in the final week before His atoning death and triumph. This was a moment like no other in that He was now declaring Himself as the pioneer of a new day, a new foundation, a new building and a greater [...]

Apostolic Ministry in the Kingdom of God

May 12th, 2009 | By Andrew Yeoman | Category: The Kingdom of God

We are all well acquainted with the Scripture in Ephesians 4: 11,

‘it was He who gave some to be apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors & teachers…’

It has become a well quoted Scripture in many circles around the world, and thank God that many in the Body of Christ are now embracing it as a present reality in the Church! However, it still produces much disagreement, debate and confusion. And even if many agree [...]

Divine Possession (Part 2)

Apr 7th, 2009 | By Andrew Yeoman | Category: The Kingdom of God

The Western nations again need to witness a community of a unique kind, a community possessed by a King and His Kingdom - a demonstration that God is fashioning something here on earth for His eternal glory and the ages to come. Consider the impact - a Holy Sprit possessed generation, living out His life [...]
